The birth of Wild Soul
A dream:
I’m on the top of a mountain in a grassy field. People wander through this field. They carry silver platters atop their heads. I don’t know what they carry, though I know they’re important.
I look down at my chest. A silver thread emerges from the center of my chest. It rises up and out of my chest, disappearing from my site as it crosses across one of those silver platters… Then another.. Then another. I realize this thread is weaving its way through whatever gifts these people carry on these silver platters! Whatever these gifts these people are presenting to the world, my heart is connected to them.
I had this dream many years ago. Some dreams seem to endure a long time. This is one of them. I haven’t forgotten the heart-thread that connects to others’ gifts. In fact, this image lives within me often. This is just one way I am prompted by Soul.
Wild Soul is my attempt to enact and embody this dream. I believe in the gifts that you carry. It is my heart’s longing to support you in bringing them forth.
I’m Daniel
Over the past seven years, I’ve been committed to the Journey of Soul Initiation. Rather than pursuing conventional education, I’ve sought my education from canyon, juniper, cedar, raven, and moon. I’ve wandered solo through the wilderness for 40 days, enacted multiple vision fasts, and been tracking my dreams for a decade. The guiding question has been this: how can I best serve the Earth and my people? This is where I’ve been guided.
It’s time for us humans to begin waking up—remembering who we really are and surrendering ourselves to the Earth from which we came. The challenge of our times requires it. The future ones demand it. And we are held in an intelligent Universe that will guide us back to ourselves.
Professionally, I'm a trained Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner. I’ve also received training from the Animas Valley Institute, Rites of Passage Journeys, and the Internal Family Systems Training Institute. My approach integrates somatic practice, parts work, dream work, and rites of passage work. These tools allow me to skillfully hold the activations of trauma while guiding attention toward the deeper current of Soul.
I’ve been working with both individuals and groups for years. My experience covers a broad range—from ages 12 to 72, from the office to the wilderness, from crisis to thriving. Through these experiences, I’ve become intimately familiar with the deep, vulnerable territory of the human mind, body, and soul.
This intimacy with the territory comes not just from my professional work, but also my personal experiences. I have visited the depths of despair and rage as well as the heights of ecstasy and love within myself. Thus, I will happily accompany you as you visit yours. I have deep faith in the capacity to heal and the innate aliveness that lives within you. While I may not know the precise situation you're in—I do know pain, grief, sorrow, confusion and I know the way through it. I am prepared to meet you in whatever place you're inhabiting. And I will do so with total acceptance, compassion, and faith. This is my promise to you.
